Long time no post
4/20/2009 05:44:00 AM
Hey,
Its been a long time since I blogged, partly due to the lack of time n mood. Been busy recently preparing for FTX(army exercise),outfield all those.Somemore preparing the bronco for outfield is a dread man! So much to prepare. Anyway, this FTX has been a gd experience for me. The first time I drove outfield at night for a long time(5hrs straight, from 9pm-2am). I drove till I was damn shag. But after that, the next driving at night was quite okay. Lately, when I bk out, mostly I will go watch movies(fnf4,knowing,sniper) with my friends then go watch soccer matches or go Tampines1 mall to shop. Nth interesting n no mood to do other stuff also. Lately i see my dog also nvr spend much time with her.Sorry dada. Will make up to u! :) lol. gtg. Waiting for a letter to come, when will it come???dun take too long leh.

Was lazy over the weekend so didn't blog. The past week I been undergoing a bronco driving course. Two weeks long, this friday is the last day. Its been fun especially when u have NSmen with u.Some quite old liao. lol. Anyway, when we had the chance to drive the bronco on the third day,it was fantastic feeling. Its like a car lol and especially easier to drive and its auto with gears for speed limit. But nonetheless, going over obstacles and those rough terrains has been a fun experience.lol.
http://www.one35th.com/attc/attc_intro2.htmAbove is a link to an external website showing you a picture of how it looks like.(Click if u are interested). Cute Vehicle, abit like MRT as it has a rear cabin(carriage like just that its much shorter).
Passed the driving test today and hit the "first prize" as I was selected to be part of the boat party. Gotta wake up at 3plus am on wednesday just to collect the boat from Jalan Kayu for the floatation on Wednesday night and when it ends,we will go back late.Gtg

This past whole week has been quite eventful. Last sunday before I booked back to camp, I celebrated my birthday in advance by treating my parents, uncle amos n aloy and family at Marriott Hotel's Cafe where we had buffet. Quite nice I have to comment, atmosphere there was real good.Sadly had to leave ard 8.40 as duty calls. Fortunately had my dad to fetch me to camp so it was not that bad. When I entered into my bunk. I was greeted with comments on my hairstyle. Some said sure kena, some said punk and cool. Sergeant JJ saw and said it was nice and should not be a problem but me being the IC for the week somemore, sure kena taken notice by the sergeants, esp ps. lol. Sad to say,the next morning after SOC,PS asked for me and enquired abt the hairstyle which I said that it was supposed to be fohawk but the barber cut it too short lol, thus it looked like mohawk.lol.
The whole week we had CCAC(combat casualty and aid course) and SOC test n rt. Seriously, two SOC tests and 1 SOC training and RT on saturday certainly spells trouble for us. How can the body recover in such a short time. For CCAC, we learnt different types of bandaging and so we will learn how to do the IV drip as it was cancelled this week. The medic was saying we are like 1 level lower than a professional medic. We are learning so much for our vocation,gd experience and exposure. Anyway for SOC, sometimes I have problem with the low wall and low rope but during one of the rt sessions,I managed to reach the top for the low rope for the first time. Sergeant Luke told me that my arm strength too weak, got technique but need to train up. Guess I need to but I prefer to let my arms recover first.
Did BOS twice this week, starting to get used to being a VC. Lucky for me, I have Shaun in my team. Experienced in BOS and so kind of him to give us lifts to the mrt after we booked out.
Yesterday met up with Jerlin,Jh,Yh,Bingfa, norman and my ex stead. When I saw her at the mrt station,it was like so awkward,we hardly said a word to each other throughout the whole outing. We had lunch first before we went to watch Marley and me. This movie was very nice and definitely relates a lot to me as I have a dog and some parts of the movie certainly brought about some memories me and my ex had in the past. I teared at the end when marley died at the end.
I hope my dada lives long and happy and I want her to know that I love her always even though I am not around her unlike in the past. Everytime I come home, I see her wagging her tail. That warms my heart.
I love u,dada.
PS: thanks to everyone who wished me on my birthday. Thanks alot,it certainly made my day.
Thanks again to frankie and peter who treat me to dinner while we had nights out on my birthday.

Age does not protect you from love, but love to some extent protects you from age.

Hmm, wanted to blog yesterday after I came home from camp. This week in camp was quite a long week.Had live firing and SOC. I still fail SOC but timing reduced a lot from the previous one. Hope I can complete low rope the next time round since had some gd advice from pioneer specs. Then did area cleaning before booking out, lol,a lot of funny stuff happened and I stand in as the bunk IC. Got stunned when I heard I was going for the bronco course to train as a Vehicle Commander(VC) lol. I rather go recce than sit vehicle but being a VC also got its advantages.Hope can rotate between recce & VC if not will be quite boring. Today went to cut hair, told the uncle cut fohawk, show him pic somemore. Aiyo,he go "help" me cut 80% mohawk sia. Damn obvious, hope PS dun say anything, notice sure will. Wat a boring day today at home. Been watching tv & surfing the net. Tml evening going buffet at Marriot Hotel to celebrate my 21th Birthday in advance. Too bad my birthday falls on wednesday and in camp somemore, what a pleasant "delight" lol.

It is loneliness that makes the loudest noise. This is true of men as of dogs.

Look at dada giving me a look telling me not to leave for camp lol.
Woke up to dreaded thoughts of returning back to camp.Sungei Gedong camp is like so freaking far from my house. The time travelling on the train is more than 1hr.And not to mention the bus ride lol. The camp is located in the ultimate ulu inside part of lim chu kang. Sianz...going back to restricted freedom, sleeping time 10.30 to 5.30 lol.Today bk in timing 2130.Hope friday can book out instead of sat.Hope no RT.Ohya, congrats to Dominic who got baptised today.Welcome to God's family.
To her: Miley Cyrus's "See you again" totally describes what I am feeling towards you.

Can miles truly separate you from friends....If you want to be with someone you love, aren't you already there?

Hmm. My days in my new vocation has been a very interesting and meaningful experience.Experienced a lot of stuff many would not have been able to experience. It all started when I was posted to my new vocation as an armour infantry trooper to Sungei Gedong Camp. But when I was there with the 19 of us new top-up to the battalion. I was selected to join the scout plattoon and be a recce trooper. Kinda stunned as heard scouts quite tough in term of physical and mental fitness. Then the next day inprocess to Pasa Laba Camp for the course. Not supposed to reveal the military aspects of the course due to the classified nature of military information. The tought part of the course was fast marches,12km with FBO and 60km long walk. One interesting yet emotional experience was during the killing and skinning of the quail. Each of us had a quail each and we had to pull off the head of the quail. It was a gruesome sight as the head was simply detached off the body and the eyes were still blinking and the body still moving due to the muscle reaction. Most of us didn't want to kill the quail but had to do as it was a veto factor of the course. All of us sayang the quails before we killed them. After they died, we went on to the skinning part. It was a weird feeling as the body was still warm and we skinned them by removing the feathers and after which, tear open the part which held the quail's internal organs, etc heart, liver and gall bladder. Then we removed them and washed them afterwhich. We then bought them back to our own team camp site to cook as our meal. It tasted like KFC's original chicken recipe chicken.
Today had a pretty boring day till some smsed me and it was about the past stuff. Kinda made me think of alot of stuff.Alot of mixed feelings.
To her: I really like you but I afraid of the response you will give me so I will wait.

Find ecstasy in life; the mere sense of living is joy enough.

Pictures of my precious guitar! I won this in a magazine contest. This is an autographed guitar by American Country singer Colbie Caillat and this model is the same model used in her bubbly music video. I am a big fan of hers and to have won this,I thank God alot as I tried to win her autographed cd in a channel news asia morning program but failed to do so and that very day I saw the contest in a magazine and I smsed the answer and didn't expect to win till one day they called to tell me to pick up my prize.Lol. I thought it was just a guitar only. Till I opened the case and saw her autograph and her words which wrote "Play and sing your heart out!".Totally inspired me to take up guitar lessons which I later took but stopped when I was enlisted into the army. Will continue when I have time.
Woke up early this morning and watched discovery channel & animal planet.Totally hooked to these channels since I got cabletv. Then went to TM with dominic to walk awhile and went to the library to borrow some books to read during my free time in camp. After which, headed to East Point for lunch at KFC before heading for home.
